Can science engage with the reality of subjective experience?
I have made my own small stab at finding a theoretical position that may allow greater common understanding between the parties of Eastern Comtemplative Traditions, on the one hand, and Empirical Science, on the other. The fundamental premise is this:
If we take the phenomenal world of subjective experience to be a natural entity, many outstanding problems in relating neuroscience to subjective experience become tractable.
This is work in progress, and the P-world, R-world site should be seen as a companion to this conversation. Both started in 2007, and both will develop slowly.
